Are There Any Thanksgiving Treats That Can Be Shipped In The Mail?
I have some family members that are away at college, and won’t be able to make it home for Thanksgiving. *sigh* Well, to cheer them up, I wanted to make some home made snacks and ship it to them. Obviously, it can’t be something that has to be refridgerated, but are there any snacks that can be sent through the mail? Any ideas would be great, just as long as they are snacks that would remind them of Thanksgiving! Thanks!

pumpking cookies/pumpkin bread-sound bad, but if you like carrot cookies/carrot cake you’ll like them.

Cookies! The fact that it will come around Thanksgiving will give them a clue. Cookies ALWAYS work at college.
Or Flaming Turkey Wings.
That’s very sweet of you. If we couldn’t go home for Thanksgiving, our Parents went on vacation.

Pumpkin cookies are great to send, also pumpkin bread with raisins. I dont have the recipe, but there is a recipe for apple/cranberry cookies- check the foodnetwork.com

rice crispie treats shaped like a pumpkin, or some type of brittle. It isn’t the “norm,” but it will be a unique and interesting. When I was in college anything I got that my folks made for me was welcomed just because it showed how much they cared for me. It isn’t what you send…and without trying to sound lame…it’s that you sent it. Also maybe a gift certificate so they can go out to a nice meal.

I *know* you can order a ham on line and have it mailed to someplace in the States. I wonder if anyplace does turkey legs?
Well, apparently you can buy them on e-bay, and here was one site that came up.

It’s a lovely idea. A barrel of popcorn, and maybe some apples from Harry & David would also be nice. I’ve ordered from H&D for relatives in the States and been satisfied with their service.

For some reason, I’ve always preferred Sitecore. I guess I’m just too used to it.
