You can’t, you have to lose weight. Everyone has a problem spot. It can be around the stomach, thighs, arms or chest. No matter where your trouble spot is, the solution is exactly the same. You need to eat less and exercise more. The reason why there’s only one solution for all of these problems is because it’s impossible to tell your body where to burn the excess fat from.
When you eat too many calories, your body stores the excess energy as fat in different areas around the body. To lose this fat, you need to create a calorie deficit (eat less than you burn) to force your body to start burning that fat for energy. There is absolutely no way to control where your body goes to find this extra fat.
The larger your calorie deficit (a bigger calorie deficit means a bigger difference between what you eat and what you burn) the faster your body will burn excess fat and the quicker your body fat percentage will start to decrease. You can increase your calorie deficit by cutting your daily intake and exercising more. Sit ups will do nothing to target the fat around your abs just like squats will do nothing to target the fat around your thighs. Hi!
I know how you feel – I am 5’2″ and 8 stone, with a little belly, so have researched this myself.
Unfortunately as you already know, you cannot spot target weight loss. To lose any weight anywhere, you will lose it allover too.
We have pot bellies from not eating the right kinds of food.
My friend with a good physique calls my belly the ‘Italian belly” – I eat loads of pasta and other food with carbohydrates in, and don’t burn those carbs off – so the fats tend to collect around my tummy.
Cut down on anything with carbs in (there are websites that tell you what food is based on carbs), and do plenty of exercise.
Drinking water instead of milky and fizzy drinks also reduce bloating which make your tummy stick out.
Once you tummy is fat-free, you can start toning it with sit-ups etc.
Unfortunately by dieting and exercising you will lose weight, but if you don’t overdo it, it won’t be too bad.

Hi, well basically your not overweight so you dont need to lose weight. You can try doing sit ups and stuff like that to build your abs up. I lot of people have that problem, like I do, mine is horrible I think when I sit down it like rubber rings lol but when I stand up its flat.
I am 5ft2 and 9 stone, I have put half a stone on due to the fact of an knee injury. But am going to lose it quite easily which is cutting what I eat to a healthy option.

count calories and keep them at 1200-1500 a day. your a bit heavier so maybe start of THE MOST at 1800. dont drink anything but water, a lot of unknown calories come from drinks.
fill up on fruits and veggies!
eat very healthy.
can’t you go walking at all? thats like working out but not vigorous. if you are allowed to do that i would suggest 30m-1hr a day
