What is the best way to lose weight and tone up?
I’m about 5″3 and 9 and a half stone and I would like to lose some weight and tone up to have a bit more confidence with my body. What is the most effective way to do this?

You should count calories. You can Google a calorie calculator. On average, you should eat anywhere from 1600-2000 calories daily. If you are very active, you can increase your calorie range. If you aren’t active, you should stay around that calorie range. You should also work out by running or jogging. Motivation will also help you lose weight.

The best way to lose weight and tone up is to:
1. Clean up your diet
Try to make the majority of your diet all natural and/or organic foods. By natural, I mean that there shouldn’t be any more than 3 ingredients on the ingredients list. This aspect of losing weight is usually the hardest because most of our diets have been shot to the grass. Go slowly, replace every “bad” food on your diet with a slightly healthier alternative, then once your taste buds don’t protest that slightly healthier alternative, go healthier.
P.S. Stay away from anything with high-fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils (read:trans fat) in the ingredients list.
2. Train with weights
The number one way to tone up and boost your metabolism.
3. Do some cardio
Preferentially some high-intensity interval training, or if that’s too hard, I do some somewhat-high-intensity interval training.

Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day, exercise, stop drinking fizzy drinks and cut out all snacks except for one in the afternoon. Don’t eat anything after 7 pm. Being on a diet all the time slows down your metabolism, which will make it more difficult to lose weight. Exercise will help you to speed up your metabolism. You will not be more hungry because you exercise.

ok, first of all DONT count calories. its a nightmare and most people who do that give up quickly because it feels like a chore.
just realise that you need to eat healthy and keep fit to keep your body clean and healthy. and do fun exercises like using a dance mat, getting a trampet and bouncing whilst listening to music… and have a variety so you dont get bored of your workouts . good luckxx

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
