How much does a standard, modern, nuclear warhead weigh? And how much does it cost to make one?
What does a government made nuclear warhead weigh, and cost to make?
I am writing a paper on the changes to nuclear weapons from 1940 to today. I am almost done but want to end with something along the lines of “What used to take 4630Kg to do can now be done a thousand times more powerfully with only XXXKg”.
First time asking a question.

It weights 9 lbs 10 ounces and it costs millions of lives at the touch of a button. But seriously, who cares. I hope I’m at ground zero when it goes off because I’d rather live my life happily and just have it be over when that time comes than deal with the suffering of surviving the horrors of the stupid war mongers of mankind that ever created such a horrible weapon of mass destruction.

it can coast over 50 million, and its wieght varies…

what are u crazy? the government is filled with super cautious beyoches. You’ll get your ass blown up for even asking a question like that!!
America secretly within the government is actually a dictatorship. Even though we say what we want, the fact of the matter is, even though we have a judicial system, the secret government agencies hide shit from the citizens of the US. Lets face it, the army runs things around here. Thats cuz everything is military based. There like men in Black but their ass-holes cuz they do stuff against the law. They kill or arrest people for opening their mouths and telling secrets about missions they’ve been on.Obviously they must be doing something illegal, and they try to pretend as if the us population doesn’t know a thing. But we know more then they think.
Ask anyone associated with the secret government in any way and they will tell you that hey were blind folded, or they are not allowed to tell you anything they know. Ask alot of our soldiers what they saw in Iraq. They will tell u plenty of stories.

what you are asking is most likely classified. Not only that, there are several different types of nuclear warheads that were produced and/or dismantled and taken out of commission since the 1940’s. They range from artillery projectiles all the way to ICBM’s. All of which have different weights. One thing to remember is that a 1 kiloton explosion is the same today as it was in the 1940’s, the difference is the means of delivery. As far as cost, you will never find that out because the true costs are caught up in the Department of Energy’s budget. You have material costs, transportation costs, manpower, etc. It would all also depend on the type and size of warhead.
You would also be surprised what you can find on the internet these days.

lost of info in the above if you browse around that site.

not sure how accurate any of that information is, because after all, I am sure most of that information is classified. I used to work at a place that assembled and disassembled nuclear weapons and not once was I privy to any of this information. Of course, I was also smart enough to not go around asking because everything was on a “need to know” basis, and in my job, I didn’t need to know any of that.

dude my chem teacher told us that they are so simple to make we could do it. its just slamming some ore together with a simple bomb. The cost is just getting the ore. And screw everone being dumb. Its science and why should anyone be able to stop you from learning due to their fear.
