That sounds much more like a virus, claiming to be some fake antivirus saying your computer is infected. I recommend you get rid of the program (if it is a program) and use something like AVG Antivirus (http://free.avg.com) or use Trend Micro Housecall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/) to make sure there aren’t any other threats on your PC.

Go to this site for details. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-antivirus-xp-2008 You don’t have to do it on the affected computer if it won’t let you. Print off the instructions and download he required software on another computer. Save it to a memory stick and transfer it to the infected one and follow the instructions. Good luck

More than likely the “Antivirus” is a piece of spyware/malware.
What is the name of the Antivirus, and I will tell you how to remove it.

Sounds like it is a rogue anti-spyware program similar to the well known XP Antivirus rogue application.
