Good idea to learn guitar and drums at the same time?

Hi. I’ve been learning drums for 3 years now, and I want to get into guitar, acoustic to be precise. I tried once before but didn’t follow through, so I already have a guitar. I am willing to get private lessons, and this time I feel more dedicated. But my question is, will my learning drums interfere with learning guitar? Has anyone had any experience with both? thanks.

i did the exact same thing, its fuckin great. the drums gives you the rythm and hand eye coordination you need, where guitar gives you musicality and even more finger control. very similer, to be honest

If you have the time, go for it. It won’t hurt your drumming. Once you have a good foundation its no problem picking up other instruments!
