Where can I find the not-soft after being cooked sweet potatoes?

Okay so every sweet potatoe I’ve tried in America has always been super soft after being cooked and I don’t like that. Back in my country the ones we have there after being cooked they are eatable but not as soft as the ones here. Anyone know what type the not-soft ones could be?

    Those are probably actually yams. Yams and sweet potatoes are not exactly the same thing.
