Because smoking has nicotine in it which is very addictive.

Cause there’s a little smoking demon hanging on to your back with its talons sunk in…….I thought everybody knew that.

I finally quit smoking after about 6 years (i’m 21). The trick is keeping yourself busy. Do some organizing, exercise, etc. It sounds stupid but I quit when I got sick because it’s easier not to want one. After the first 5 days or so it gets a LOT easier. It’s more of the habit after then like getting into the car, after you eat, breaks at work. Like I said before just keep yourself busy and you should be fine. It’s been a little over a month now and I don’t even ever think about cigarrettes. I feel a lot better because of it too.

They did a study on how addicting smoking is compared to shooting up heroine. Smoking was found to be more addicting. Nicotine is one of the most addicting drugs available. When other chemicals are added to the mix, including DDT and Arsenic, you have one of the most addicting habits ever. Breathing in Carbon Monoxide has never been so addicting as it is with cigarettes. If you honestly want to quit, see a Pulmonolgist about a new drug out called Chantix.

    Good Luck.
