i asked this question a week ago lol
    and people said things like

    hot dogs cut up,
    or sausage,
you could add green peppers and veggies,
bake it for a few minutes to get a nice crust,
    top it with bread crumbs,

or you could make a mexican style mac n cheese
add some ground beef with taco seasoning and some tomatoes cut up

    Macaroni & Cheese Recipes

    Ingredients:
1 box (1 lb size) dry elbow macaroni
16 ounces New York Extra Sharp Cheddar (coarsely shredded)
8 ounces finely shredded sharp cheddar
1 can cream of mushroom style soup, cream of chicken or cream of celery
    2 cans (from soup) milk
    1/2 stick butter
    1/4 cup dried chopped chives
    Kosher Salt to taste
    White Pepper to taste
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
    Fried Onions

    Directions:

Cook macaroni according to box, minus 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350F. Butter the sides and bottom of a 9×13 glass baking dish.

Using the same pan from the pasta, add the soup, milk, butter, and seasonings and chives. Stir over medium heat to combine and heat until butter has melted.

In a large bowl, gently fold the pasta and cheese until well combined. Pour in to baking dish. Pour in the milk mixture and gently combine with pasta and cheese. Bake for 45 minutes. Top with onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Serve with sliced tomatoes garnished with chopped chives, Kosher salt, freshly cracked pepper and good extra virgin olive oil.

(Not all at the same time!) Drained tuna. Bacon bits. Sliced green onions (add just before serving). Sliced prepackaged luncheon sandwich meats — cut into thin strips or little pieces. Leftover chicken or turkey. Mushroooms. Baloney. Salami. Onions that have been pan-browned.

I have mixed some brown mustard and beer for one way. Another is yellow mustard, ketchup and hot dogs. Ground beef with ketchup and mustard. Tomatoe, garlic and fresh basil. Jalepenos and tomatoes for a little mexican twist. Mac and cheese is like pizza you experiment and remember what you like and what you did not like. Also try mixing up the cheeses as well. You could even make a pizza mac if you think about it. Throw in some pizza sauce, some pizza cheese and sausage and pepperoni. Good Luck….
