What is the best Free Anti-Virus Program that will make me feel safe?
I have Malaware Bytes and Avast! Right now.
Malaware Bytes Kicks Butt, I’m never going to delete that.
But Avast sucks, I feel no protection at all, malaware bytes finds all these viruses, and avast finds nothing. What should i do? Apparently Avast just sucks big time.
What is the best free anti-virus software out there for you?

They perform two entirely different tasks. Malwarebytes is made to find spyware, adware, and tracking cookies, whereas avast finds trojans and viruses. Avast is the best free av available.

Free ones are hard to come by except for what comes on your computer when you get it. You will need to buy one if you want to feel safe.

Fact:
Free and Payed protection are nearly the same, free versions off a anti virus which can be bougth uses the same database and therefore catches the same viruses though additional features might be added to the payed version.
A slight intro, Why not to pick AVG? or as they say AGV?
AVG is a high memory consuming low efficent anti virus, it scores badly in most tests and when put to the test by actual users it fails just as hard. Often when you buy or download AVG, you are participating in what I like to call “GIVE ME VIRUS” movement, as when AVG catches a minor virus it will struggle to delete it or slow perhaps freeze your Computer. When sligthly more advanced viruses infects your system, AVG Is also highly likely to freeze or disable itself.
ANSWER TO RYAN:
Way to go dude, nice recommendation, well AVG is crap, Mac is less safe then windows according to hackers themself.
I will list a number off softwares below which will make you feel very safe
-Avast (Avast.com) On paper this is less efficent then Avira but Avast wins my thrust with an comprehensive Web Shield
-SuperAntiSpyware(.com)
-Malwarebytes(.com) This and SuperAntiSpyware are nearly the same, they will cover the areas where the others can’t.
-Comodo Firewall (Comodo.com) This is just one off the best firewalls out there, it is free and really makes you feel secure when you feel that it’s there all the time, not like windows firewall -.-
-Sandboxie(.com) this is free and useful, Sandboxing are becoming more and more populare, some anti virus programs are implementing it into their own software, sandboxing is just locking all downloads and programs into an virtual envirnment. It will prevent any harm to your PC even if you download a file with a virus inside it.
Mate, Avast is pretty much the best free anti virus, if you don’t feel that it’s there it generally means you don’t have anything to be concerned about. Get the products i’ve listed and you will remain secure, Also get CCleaner from Piriform.com which will remove trash Windows has created for no reason ^^
NB: DISABLE WINDOWS FIREWALL BEFORE GETTING COMODO’s

Avast is the best free anti-virus software out there to date, it is rated higher than AVG by many security sites. Google it. You could try Avira next if you would like. Might I also suggest CCleaner to you? Very nice Registry fix and Junk remover and plays well with Malwarebytes and Avast.

Previous answers covered most of the good and freeware security programs. You can consider Immunet also. It works alongside with most of the AV’S.
