No, they haven’t any religious festivity because they are secular states.

We call “Black Friday” the Friday before Easter, but that’s no shopping spree day, if that’s what you’re looking for.
For a shopping spree I’d say the spring sales for the winter clothes and fall sales for the summer clothes… but it’s more a period of a couple of weeks, or even a whole month for some shops…
It’s growing very big now the shopping week before Christmas and we also have some spring holidays on the 1st and 8th of March (Martisor and Mother’s day) that drive people into a shopping frenzy. We’ve also imported Valentine’s on Feb. 14th but we have our own “Lover’s Day” on Feb. 28th, called “Dragobete” (derived from the Romanian word “drag>dragoste”=”the one you care for>love”), so that’s another shopping week for all kinds of heart-shaped stuff, as well.

St Stephen’s Day or Boxing Day. 26th December 🙂 But as Europe has over 52 countries you can’t push us all together like that.
