Curry’s not exactly simple especially if you’re not a cook and familiar with that kind of food. For a super simple curry I would say brown the chicken in oil in a pan, separately cook onions and garlic. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, curry powder, turmeric, cumin and the chicken and simmer until the chicken is cooked.

The “pita” (pita is middle eastern) is called naan and you can just buy it at the store. Good luck!

well if u want a non spicy curry then u’d have to start from scratch. cause the store bought ones are spicy.
onions, garlic, ginger, lemon grass(depends on how much curry u want to make) do not add chili. put them in a blender and blend them.
use a pot. a low stock pot.
put the blended ‘paste’ in the pot. stir it for a while and add curry powder. then add chicken.
add water after the chicken is all covered in the red stuff.. and leave to cook. u can add potatoes in if u like. then about half way. add coconut milk(coconut milk can be bought in stores and is in powder form. mix them wit water and pour them in the pot) and stir. wait for a while or until the chicken and potatoes are cooked. then serve.

There are SO many recipes online for Indian curry. I’m from that area myself so when my mom used to make it less spicy, she’d just use less spices (less of the red stuff).

As for naan (the pita bread), well it’s complex and hard to make. Make people mess up but Google the recipe for it. But they really do sell it in stores for a fair price. Go to Kroger, I’ve seen some there before. Arabic stores also sell it. Check local grocery stores, they are big + a bit thick.

Indian food in general is a very difficult cuisine to make if you are not familiar with the flavors of the spices and also the methods they use to cook which are not as traditional as methods you are used to. Here is an easy one to start with. http://www.joegrossberg.com/archives/002047.html Just leave out the Cayenne pepper or chili peppers so it won’t be spicy.
