My daughter will graduate college in May and start a teaching job in Sept. My company’s medical insurance will stop her coverage in May. Where can I find gap insurance to have her covered until she starts her job.

In NC Blue Cross offers this product. Ask your insurance agent if he/she writes medical insurance, and if not, get a referral to someone who does.

well there is always COBRA coverage but that is very expensive……try esurance.com and you can get multiple quotes and pick what best suits your daughter’s needs

Talk to the guy that does your house and car insurance. He should be able to either set you up with a short term medical policy, or refer you to a local guy that can set you up.
DEAL LOCAL. Trust me on this.

Well, there is COBRA, and you can also call your insurance carrier and ask them what kind of direct pay policies you can buy directly from them. Some offer cheap income base insurance plans, and there is also one called a fee schedule, where your premiums and co-pays and stuff are also based off of income. Something like that will hold her over until she starts her job.
