What is the best way to connect my desktop PC to my wireless modem/router?
I’m buying a new desktop PC and want to know if the USB wireless receivers are worth using, and if so which make/model – or if I should get a PCMA wireless receiver. Im using a Belkin 54G modem+router. My budget is £400 just for the tower.

I suggest you get a Belkin network adapter, since although all makes conform to standards, sometimes there are minor differences that make setting up a bit more difficult. Try Wireless G Plus Desktop Card F5D7001 (internal) or Wireless G USB Network Adapter F5D7050, both cost less than US$70.
I don’t know what you mean by PCMA, but if you’re thinking of PCMCIA, these cards fit only in laptop slots.
It’s your decision to choose an internal or USB adapter: USB adapters are easier to install, but they use one port you could need for other purposes. On the other hand, internal slots are seldom used nowadays, but you might need a technician to install it.
