What would happen if a nuclear device was detonated on the Moon?
Just for the sake of satisfying my ignorance, what would happen if a thermonuclear device was detonated on the Moon? With zero atmosphere, would the explosion be greater or lesser? With zero Oxygen, how would the heat blast from the detonatio behave? Finally, would it be a disaster scenario and one hell of a stupid thing to do and would any such explosions threaten the safety of us here in Earth?
I have been mulling this over in my mind for quite some while and I would be delighted if someone could furnish me with some facts without taking the micky?

The following time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to learn, however I truly thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you would fix if you werent too busy on the lookout for attention.

I hardly think it was a great mikatse. France accomplished its objectives and the agents were quietly repatriated after spending a short time in detention. French trade embargoes against New Zealand products caused New Zealand to forget about pursuing the matter. Where is the mikatse of France, unless you look at it from the Green Peace perspective?

Damn, I wish I could think of something smart like that!
