Do you have a recipe for rice pudding?

I know there are lots of lovely recipes with lots of different ingredients in it, but I’m looking for a basic recipe for a simple rice pudding (for someone who is quite fussy with foods!)

Thank you.

    small amount of butter

    2. Bake in the oven for at least 1 hour at 160-180C/325-350F/Gas3-4. You can cook it for longer at a lower heat.

2 to 3 ozs pudding rice, 5 ozs caster sugar, two pints of milk, stir together and grate nutmeg over the top. Cook in an oven at Mark 2 for about two and a half hours.
If you wanted to, you could always add some vanilla extract (the real stuff) but although I do this every time I’ve never really noticed any difference in taste !

    This is a good one:

    1 Cup of pudding rice

    4 cups of water

    1 tin evaporated milk

    3 tablespoons of sugar

Half a cup of ready mixed custard

    Ground cinnamon

    Method:

Place the water, sugar and rice in a suitable saucepan. Bring the mixture to the boil and simmer until the rice is nearly cooked. When the rice is nearly cooked add the milk, gently stir occasionally to avoid the milk burning. When the rice is cooked stir in the custard. Pour into a suitable bowl and leave to cool a little. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top of the rice pudding and serve. Can be eaten cold but if it has thickened too much just add a little milk (normal milk at this stage).
