Has anyone done competitive UKC dog obedience?

I’ve done competitive AKC novice obedience and noticed novice obedience in UKC is different. You have to do a recall over a jump. Do you know what kind of jump they use? Is it the kind with panels or the kind with just a pole? I need to know so I can practice.

You might be able to find out on the UKC website. I can’t imagine it would be anything but a high jump (panel), the jump with poles is usually just for utility.

At any rate, a pole jump is really easy to make. I train that jump means jump, no matter what obstacle is in front of them, try making a variety of unusual jumps and work on that. You will end up with a dog that will not refuse for stupid reasons like the jump was a different material or color.
