How much green tea should I drink a day?

I am 16 years old, and I want to start drinking green tea to have a healthier future. If I was to start drinking green tea daily, how many cups should I drink?

If you wish to go on a green tea diet, then I would suggest about 2-3 glasses a day or so. Probably one per every major meal of the day. Be advised that tea also, over time, turns your teeth yellow, so make sure to brush frequently also, probably after every meal.

Some benefits aren’t reported until 7 or 8 cups a day, although those are probably Japanese 5-oz cups not American 8-oz cups. I hesitate to recommend that much caffeine to a 16-year-old (green tea has as much caffeine as sodas or more). 2-4 sounds right, depending on the logistics – green tea leaves can be used 2+ times depending on the type. Green tea shouldn’t dehydrate you unless you make it inhumanly strong.

why green Tea? Recent researches indicate that even normal Tea has the same quantity of anti oxidants as green tea.
IF U LIKE THE TASTE ITS OK. iF UR THINKING IN TERMS OF CALORIES U CAN EVEN TAKE BLACK TEA(I.E. WITHOUT MILK.

There is no special advantage for green tea as previously thought.

There is no doubt about health benefits, but green tea does contain significant amounts of caffeine. Start with one teabag, and maximize its usage–you can easily make 3 cups with it. Perhaps you can double the intake over time.
