    Green Tea Frappuccino
    .

here’s another you can try at home similar to big coffee chains. They use melon syrup, this recipe uses vanilla…I think this tastes more like green tea is supposed to.

    Ingredients
    # 1/2 teaspoon green tea powder (matcha)
    # 2 ounces hot water
    # 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla syrup or sugar, to taste
    # 4 ounces milk
    # ice
    Directions
Dissolve green tea in hot water.
    add milk and syrup.
blend with a handfull or so of ice cubes.
top with whipped cream if desired.

Make this, because the picture’s so pretty!

I’ve bought green tea to make this, but haven’t gotten around to it yet…

Oh, and I’ve seen a couple recipes for green tea tiramisu and cake on various blogs. Pretty pictures, pretty pictures…

    *Peachy Iced Green Tea

    SIMPLE SOLUTION: INGREDIENTS
    6 green tea teabags
    6 cups cold water
2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

    1. Place teabags in a large teapot or pitcher.
    2. Put sliced peaches in a saucepan, add cold water, and bring to a brisk boil, then pour water and peaches over teabags.
    3. Steep for 6 minutes, then add sweetener (maple syrup, honey or Succanat are recommended). Allow tea to cool, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
    4. Include a few peach slices in each glass and serve with a spoon, garnished with a sprig of mint, if you like.

Even Easier Alternative Method: Make a pitcher of green tea and add the contents of a can of organic sliced peaches. Chill thoroughly

*How to Brew a Cup of Green Tea:-

Producing the perfect cup of green tea is a tricky process. If not handled properly, those same polyphenols that provide health benefits can ruin the flavor, making the tea taste “gassy.” It’s particularly important not to overbrew. While it’s best to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for each variety of green tea, here are some general

    instructions:
Use one tea bag, or 2 – 4 grams of tea,* per cup.
Fill a kettle with cold water and bring to a boil.
After unplugging the kettle, allow it to stand for up to 3 minutes.
Pour the heated water over the tea bag or tea, and allow it to steep for up to 3 minutes. If using a tea bag, remove the bag.
Allow the tea to cool for three more minutes.
*One to two teaspoons, depending on the variety of green tea you are brewing.

    ENJOY 🙂
