How long do you have to go without eating before you start losing weight?
I’m not asking this in order to lose weight. I’m just curious, since a friend said you start losing after two days, and I’ve always heard it takes forever because your body goes into starvation mode.

YOU are right and your friend is giving bad advice. You will store far and other bad things if you starve yourself. Eat celery- burns calories and has none! Drink water, excercise and eat good foods aparingly. The weight will come off. If you work out and build muscle, that burns fat too! I good healthy diet and excercise program will do the trick.

well i dont eat all day until 8 pm beacause i sleep all day

ok let me set the record straight.. you are only going to starve if your body has low body fat i.e being within 5-20lbs of your ideal weight.. starving takes places when there is no more fat in your body and your body starts to eat its vital organs heart muscle etc. if you are more then 20 lbs it wouldnt be called starving it would be called fasting bc your body is using that extra weight not your needed organs etc. also anorexics are called so and are 99% of the time in danger bc they are already thin to begin with so its not a good idea for those of that size to do such a thing bc thats when starvation kicks in .. fact being there is no fat to use it now uses their muscles for energy which is when health problems occur. starving and fasting are two incredibly different things. hope my rambling made sense.
