How do I cook roast beef in a crock pot ?
Beef roast is one of the all-time American’s favorite, especially when done tender and juicy. Beef roast is easy to cook, particularly if you use a crock-pot and you can leave it cooking while you perform other activities. The ingredients you need include the beef roast, dry onion soup mix, a can of mushroom soap, one onion, one potato, a can of mushroom slices, carrots, celery, broccoli florets, pepper, season-all salt and water. You would also need a crock-pot, a gravy dish and a vegetable bowl.
The first thing you need to do is thaw the roast, if necessary. If you have time, you can thaw the roast by placing the roast in the refrigerator a day before cooking, but if you’re in a hurry, you can just place it inside a microwave and push the defrost setting.
Prepare all the ingredients – cut the potatoes into cubes, cut the carrots into 1/8-inch pieces, cut the celery into ½-inch slices and cut the onions. Prepare the baby broccoli florets and the mushrooms. Open the can of mushroom soap, which you’ll use as a base for your beef roast’s sauce.
Use pepper and season-all salt in seasoning both sides of the roast. If the roast is too large for the crock-pot, cut it. Make sure to place the meat into the pot as organized as possible to reduce the time required for cooking.
Before turning on the crock-pot, place a half cup of water on the crock-pot. Mix the mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and half of the prepared vegetables into the crock pot. Place the roast in and place the other half of the prepared vegetables, another half cup of water and the other half of the mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix. Close the crock pot tightly, set it to cook on high heat and cook the roast for 3 to 6 hours, depending on the size of your roast. Check the roast regularly until it reaches the degree of doneness you prefer. Remove the roast from the pot and transfer it to a place. Get all the vegetables and place it in another serving plate. You can simply use the juice of the cooked roast as sauce or make it into gravy by adding spices. Enjoy!
