How do i train my dog to sleep on the floor?

I have a miniature dachshund, she’s 4 years old, and she’s slept in my bed since she was a puppy. But lately with there being snow on the ground she’s always all dirty and wet and I don’t want to overdry her skin by giving her too many baths, so I want to train her to sleep on a dog bed on the floor, but I don’t know how to do it. I also fear that she will start chewing on things in the middle of the night. What can i do?

Call her over to the bed and give her a treat when she lies down on it.Punish her when she sleeps elsewhere and then guide her to her spot.

every time she jumps up on the furniture tell her no and push her of also at night try and shut her in 1 room like the kitchen wer she cant get up on 2 furniture and leave toys out you may find it hard but it works i did it with my dogs.

I would close my door and keep her out on the days when she is wet and dirty. She won’t like it at first but she should get used to it. That way she might even be willing to sleep on floors by choice. Good luck =]

i agree with “Lizard” but you just got to continulously push her off the bed, since she’s so used to it, its gonna take her a while and shes gonna defintely sneak up there in the middle of the night… u could also try to leash her up to something in your room so she cant get to your bed, i have to do that to one of mine, except he sleeps with me, he still has a little bit off room to move around, but he cant jump down and get into everything like he wants or usually does.
