I am looking for the recipe for Chocolate Balls, my gran showed me how to make them years ago?

I know it involves crushed digestive biscuits, cocoa powder, dessicated coconut and melted butter.
If anyone can advise if they have heard of this before and if you can give me the recipe it would be much appreciated.

There are many variations of Chocolate Balls; some people refer them as chocolate truffle; I have a couple recipes here that I have tried myself; but I did not add coconut

    Choco Balls

    * 1 can of sweet white condensed milk
    * 1 pack of colorful Meises(chocolate rice/chocolate sprinkles)
    * 1 can of sweet chocolate condensed milk
    * 1 box of sweet biscuits without filling (30 gram)

    – Crush all the biscuits until smooth, divide the amounts of the crush, and place half of the crush on another plate.

    – Add white condensed milk for about 3 or 4 tablespoons, mix well, make balls out of it, put aside.

    – Add chocolate condensed milk for 3 to 4 tablespoons with the other plate of biscuit crush. Make balls, set aside.

    – Place half of can chocolate condensed milk on a plate, and another half of can white condensed milk on a separate plate.

    – Spread 1 pack of meises on another plate

    – Roll the biscuit balls on the chocolate milk using a spoon, then roll it on the meises plate. Do the same thing with other balls onto the white condensed milk and onto the meises plate.

    – Place each balls on a special cookies/cakes cup, put them inside the fridge until the balls hardened a bit.

    Chocolate Balls

    2 eggs
    2/3 cup white sugar
4 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/3 cup all-purpose flour
    2 3/8 cups ground almonds
1/3 cup confectioners’ sugar for decoration

Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Grate squares of chocolate and add to egg mixture. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. Shape into a ball. Chill in refrigerator at least one hour.

Shape chilled dough into small balls (about 3/4 inch in diameter). Roll each in sifted confectioners’ sugar.

Place balls on greased baking sheet and allow to dry in warm room (kitchen) for 4-5 hours. Bake at 475 degrees F (245 degrees C) for 3-5 minutes. Cool on baking pan for 10 minutes.

    Makes 5 dozen.
