I am not real good at cooking, but need some EASY recipes! Please help me!?
I am fixing to go the grocery store and I am trying to come up with a list of meals I want to make for the next week. I have pulled out the old cookbooks and looking around but everything seems so complicated! lol….What easy meals do you make? Any ideas and recipes would be wonderful! thanks a bunch!

A lot of people use the recipes off the back of cans of condensed soup because you get a very flavorful meal with very little effort. You can’t get much easier than them and they usually don’t have too many ingrediants. They are by no means five star cuisine, nor are they usually super healthy but if you want easy, pick up a can of cream of mushroom soup at the supermarket and get everything else it says you need.

Meatloaf (buy the packet and follow instructions) it’s one of the easier things to do.
Stuffed bell peppers are easy to make too…only require one pan and one baking dish…and a pot to boil the bell pepper halves in.
Get a better homes and gardens cook book..it’s been a good friend of mine.
BTW when you get to the grocery store stop by the isle with the dry seasoning packets…they have them for meatloaf, fajitas, stroganoff, ect. Those are always the easiest to make and they have the ingrediants you need listed on them.

Got these off of various MBs &recipe sites
Baked spaghetti
make it the normal way then after you add the sauce, begin placing into a casserole dish. Put down three layers. After each layer add a layer of Parmesan and mix it in, then add pieces of fresh mozzarella. Bake in oven… basically until it reaches the crispiness you desire at 350 degrees. I like mine really crispy, so I do it for about an hour.

Taco Bell Taco
1 Pound lean ground beef
1/4 Cup all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon dried minced onion
1/2 Teaspoon paprika
1/4 Teaspoon onion powder
Dash garlic powder
1/2 Cup water
12 taco shells
2 Cups shredded lettuce
1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef with the flour, chili powder,
salt, minced onion, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Use your hands
to thoroughly mix the ingredients into the ground beef. Add the seasoned
beef mixture to the water in a skillet over medium heat. Mix well with a
wooden spoon or spatula, and break up the meat as it cooks. Heat for 5 to 6
minutes, or until browned. The finished product should be very smooth,
somewhat pasty, with no large chunks of beef remaining. Heat the taco
shells in a 375 degree oven for about 5 minutes. Build each taco by
spooning 2 to 3 tablespoons of the meat into a warm shell. Spread some of
the shredded lettuce over the meat and then sprinkle some cheese over the
top. Repeat with the remaining ingredients and serve immediately.

I take wheat pita bread and toast it lightly. After its toasted, I break it up and place it in a salad with mushrooms, tomotoes, green peppers, sweet peppers, scallions, veggie cheese, and romaine lettuce I then take an orange and squeeze the juice all over it … I top it off with honey glazed walnuts and a light raspberry vinagrette dressing.

taco salad- brown your burger, drain, add your seasoning like the package suggests. spread it out in the bottom of a cake pan (13×9) layer lettuce, cheese, tomato’s,black olives,or whatever you like over the beef and then take sour cream add a package of taco seasoning to it and then spread it over the top(like frosting) eat it with your favorite tortilla chips. I like to crush mine and mix it with the salad and my husband likes to dip his or spoon the salad on each chip. it really is good. enjoy.

A quick cooking tip– spices make all the difference! You can cook 1 thing (say, chicken) every day and never have the same taste or meal all week. So, stock up on the spices and play! I’m all about speed cooking & these are some of my main course favorites!
Fish: Tilapia (or other light white fish), s/p=salt & pepper sauteed in a little bit of butter (& white wine if you like), add a squeeze of fresh lemon. Cooks fast so watch it!
Chicken: Butterfly (slice horzontally) a breast (so it cooks faster), s/p, add “poultry seasoning” spice blend, Or fresh chopped herbs like rosemary, add capers if you like them, brown quickly in a bit of butter or olive oil, cover tightly w/a top, reduce heat & let the juice jump back into the meat. Have chicken stock on hand in case you need to add a touch more for juiciness.
Pasta: DeBoles makes a great sundried tomato basil angel hair pasta. Prepare it per directions (don’t over cook b/c it can get mushy). Meanwhile, chop fresh cilanro (stems and leaves), and sundried tomatoes packed in olive oil. Toss pasta with the greens, tomatoes, and s/p. Add fresh crumbled feta cheese and more olive oil to coat.
Easy sides: steamed broccoli, salads, sauteed spinach, rice, and my simple favorite, rub small red and/or white potatoes with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, stab ’em with a fork to vent then stick them in the micro ’till soft (4-6+ minutes depending on size).
Enjoy and happy speedy cooking!

4. In a rush? Smithfield, Hormel, Armour, Tyson have packages of PRE-COOKED beef tips, roast, pot roast, pork roast, chicken, ham, meatload. Use this for your meat dish with a side dish or two of vegetables, rice, or potatoes. You will find these packages near the meat section, they are not frozen. Ask a clerk for help.
5. Tyson’s fully cooked whole chickens are delicious. I serve them often with S&W canned sweet potatoes, Stove-Top dressing, microwave chicken/turkey gravy in jars, a canned vegetable, canned cranberry sauce, and frozen Pillsbury Microwave Biscuits which are better than I can make. A frozen pie defrosted and fully cooked. Perfect for one or two people at Thanksgiving or Christmas.
6. Another thing you can do is cook in a slow cooker or a crock-pot. You put the meat into the crock-pot in the morning and it cooks all day long. The meal is ready at dinner time. Crock-pots can be bought at your grocery store, WalMart, Target, etc. BE SURE to read the booklet that comes with the crock-pot.
Here are some crock-pot recipes for you:

7. If you are in a hurry, go to your grocery store and pick up a roasted chicken that you can buy in the deli section. They also have side dishes such as veggies, salads, desserts, and etc.
8. Frozen dinners are always a good choice. Our favorites are Stouffer’s, Marie Calendar’s, Michael Angelo’s, Boston Market’s. Just add a side dish, salad, or fruit salad. Desserts can be bought in the bakery section of your grocery store.
9. Ragu Sauces- Italian (in jars, just pour it on).
