go to the library and check out some children’s cook books. i don’t mean that as an insult either. start from the beginning i believe, work your way up ask your librarian for help finding.

I’d strongly recommend a good cookbook. Try a general cookbook from Betty Crocker. They usually give good directions with their recipes. In those cookbooks, you’ll find recipes for simple stuff and fancier dishes — and some simple ones that taste like they were complicated. You can probably find a good Betty Crocker cookbook on eBay, if you don’t want to pay for a new one. Have a look around.
Of course, if you have a library nearby, go there and look at the cookbooks. Check out a few and try them out. Find one you like to use, then investigate how to buy one of those.

Congratulations on your new endeavor! You may want to go out and get a spice rack; they’re inexpensive and contain most of the spices you’ll need to make whatever recipe.
One of the easiest but yummiest recipes I know of:
INGREDIENTS:
1 box Kraft Macaroni and Cheese – Extra Sharp Cheddar
2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 tablepoon oil (vegetable, canola, olive – it’s all good)
2 tablespoons Montreal Steak Seasoning
DIRECTIONS:
1. Set a pot of water to boil, 4-6 quarts. When boiling, add the noodles from the mac n cheese box. Stir occasionally.
2. Add oil to a pan and set it on medium-high heat. Dice chicken breasts and sprinkle steak seasoning on it.
3. Using a spatula, transfer the chicken over to the pan and cook it until it’s browned. Turn the flame off when done.
4. When the noodles are done cooking, drain it. Squeeze the cheese and add the chicken from the pan. Stir everything and enjoy!!!

Do you like steak? This is the BEST marinade I know of! My fiance who LOVES steak died the first time I made this. He thinks it’s even better than the restaurants!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce (I recommend Kikkoman)
4 teaspoons Montreal Steak Seasoning
DIRECTIONS
1. Place steaks in a ziploc bag or glass dish
2. Add the olive oil, then soy sauce. Sprinkle the seasoning onto the steaks, lifting the meat as well to get the marinade under it.
3. Marinade 2 hours, although 15 minutes is ok too.
4. Throw it on the grill and cook to desired doneness.

Beef Stroganoff may sound like something for the advanced, but believe me, YOU can do it! It’s soooo easy too – your friends will be floored to find out that *you* made it.
P.S. The recipe says chuck roast, but you can use ground beef or sirloin that you slice up. Either way, it’s all good.
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds beef chuck roast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 ounces butter
4 green onions, sliced (white parts only)
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed beef broth
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
1 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup white wine
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
6 quarts water
1 package egg noodles
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove any fat and gristle from the roast and cut into strips 1/2 inch thick by 2 inches long. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of both salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and brown the beef strips quickly, then push the beef strips off to one side. Add the onions and cook slowly for 3 to 5 minutes, then push to the side with the beef strips.
3. Stir the flour into the juices on the empty side of the pan. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and stir in mustard and Worchestershire sauce. Cover, turn the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
4. Halfway through the simmer, add mushrooms and white wine. At this time, boil a pot of water and put eggs noodles in it to cook.
5. Five minutes before serving, stir in sour cream. Thicken with flour or cornstarch and cold water if needed. Heat briefly then salt and pepper to taste. When done, drain egg noodles. Serve the stroganoff over noodles.

Like meatloaf? It’s easier to make than you think!!!
Brown Sugar Meatloaf
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 package of onion soup mix
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
Few splashes of Worchestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5×9 inch loaf pan.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly the all the ingredients but the ketchup, brown sugar and Worchestershire sauce, and shape into a loaf.
3.Put the meat in the loaf plan. And apply the brown sugar on top of the meatloaf, splash some Worchestershire sauce and then the ketchup on top.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.

if you want a great cook book , that tells you how to cook and has great recipes. You need to get Betty Crooker’s picture cook book. (isbn 1-59486-344-x) This is a great reprinting of their original cook book. Its worth having if learning to cook.

im not a bachelor, but heres how i learned to cok. first, i bought a “better homes and gardens” cookbook. its huge and has everything from 20 min. recipes to grilling to cakes and canning and everything in between. then i subsrcibed to gourmet magazine. i know it sounds big league, but they have amazing 30 minute emals in every issue that taste like you spent all day cooking them. and of course, once you master those you can definately make the more challenging recipes. ive only been cooking for about 1 1/2 years and i always have pepople raving about my cooking. really, this is the best way to go if u wanna start simple and work your way up.

If you like to grill, you might consider investing in a good cookbook. One of our favorites is the Weber Big Book of Grilling. It has a variety of excellent rubs, recipes and meals that range from simple to more advanced. You might also read a few reviews from amazon.com to see what other folks are saying about good cookbooks.

If you are looking for some tasty steaks I would recommend checking out the ones at LaCense Steaks. While I do work for them, they honestly
have some delicious recipes, as well as some delicious grass fed beef. It is really worth checking them out.
