    It depends if you already prepare the dinner and how long will it take for your family to arrive.

    My husband and I were just talking about this. He says 2-3 p.m. is traditional. My family either ate at 11-noon, or around 7 p.m. I guess it’s whatever time you told them to show up!

    well Usually you might want to searve a little later than regular dinner. My dinners usually take 2-3 hours to make so around 7 or 8.

    best time around 7 to 7:30 pm and then some

    Dinner is not lunch. Dinner is suppertime which is early evening.
    I usually make a dinner that may bake during the afternoon which will give plenty of prep time for other side dishes and you can say dinner will be served around six pm, and if your family wants to come and visit beforehand than more help is there! Good luck!
