Hot green tea is usually natural and better for you. Whereas iced green tea is often industrialized or commercially made. Iced green tea usually has more sugar and unnecessary calories. Arizona iced tea is just out of the question, honestly.

the one is cold, the other hot..
but the commercial variety of iced tee has not much less sugar in it then a coke, so forget it for diäting.
of course if you prepare the tea zourself this is a different story.

The main difference between Iced Tea and Hot tea, whatever the color is abut 80 degrees in temperature. While green teas do contain high amounts of Antioxidants, and also very high levels of fluoride, that may not be well tolerated by some. There have been some diet plans claiming weight loss success with the tea which has never been proven. The nice thing about Green Tea is it has no calories when prepared with just hot water or served cold after it has cooled. But BEWARE of the prepared Iced versions that can be very laden with sugars and calories.

Green tea is made from the top two leaves and buds of a shrub, Camellia sinensis, of the family Theaceace and the order Theales. This order consists of 40 genera of trees or shrubs that have evergreen leaves, flowers with five sepal or leaf-like structures and petals. The genus Camellia consists of 80 species of East Asian evergreen shrubs and trees. Besides the leaves, other ingredients may be added to create special scents or flavors during the drying process, such as jasmine, flowers, or fruits. The funny thing is that this is also where the black tea is taken from. The only difference between the green and the black tea is process in which they undergo in order to become tea. In the green variety, the leaves of the Camellia sinensis is only dried, while in black tea, the plant is fermented.

The tea plant originates in an area between India and China. There are three main varieties of this plant—China, Assam (in India), and Cambodia—and a number of hybrids in between. The China variety grows as high as 9 ft (2.7 m) and has an economic life of at least 100 years. The Assam variety is a tree that grows as high as 60 ft (18.3 m), with an economic life of 40 years dependent upon regular pruning and plucking. The 16 ft (4.9 m) high Cambodia variety is naturally crossed with other varieties.
Iced Green Tea: Place 2 teabags of Green Chai Tea in a glass teapot and pour hot water (just off the boil) until the water covers the leaves. Add ice cubes to the pot. Pour 5/8 cup of cold water into the pot. Leave this to cool for a few minutes and voila you?ve got Iced Chai!
Hot: Place one teabag in a mug or a tea infuser. Pour water just off the boil. Let this brew for 2-3 minutes and enjoy. You can enjoy the second brew and subsequent brews by adding some more fresh hot water. When brewing tea the second time, 1/3 brewing time is adequate because water has already penetrated into the leaves.

Let me explain, there is not much difference in the effects. As there is hot chocolate and chilled chocolate, so there is hot green tea and iced green tea. Depending on the time of the year, you can take them.

That depends… what kind of tea are you talking about, and for what purpose are you drinking it? Some teas lose some of their effectiveness if they sit around and get cold. Hotter water has a higher solubility, so if you were making tea with hot water, it could a little get stronger than if you used cold water to make your tea. But in the end, there generally isn’t that much difference between hot and cold tea. If you prefer it cold, drink it cold. Or lukewarm, whatever you like.
