2nd fret(2nd finger):E
3rd fret(3rd finger): G
5th string

2nd fret(2nd finger)-B
3rd fret(3rd finger)-C
6th string
open-E
1st fret(1st finger)-F
3rd fret(3rd finger)-G
1st finger-pointer finger
2nd finger-middle finger
3rd finger-ring finger
4th finger-pinky
keep your thumb rooted with your 2nd finger, generally over the 2nd fret.
