What’s the best way to learn guitar theory?
I need a place that goes through how the different chords are comprised – chords like major and minor, pentatonic, 7th, augmented, and so on.
I’m tying to learn this for guitar, so it should be a place that emphasizes this.
If anyonecould refer me to places like that it would be helpful.

try a search in ask.com type in bar chords and choose and pick its all trial and error

Check out a book called Guitar Fretboard Workbook by Barrett Tagliarino. I’m reading it now and it’s really helping me understand the fundamentals of the fretboard. Now I actually understand what I’m playing as opposed to only understanding how to play it.

Your best bet would be this website: http://www.musictheory.net. I have used this site countless times even before I was in college to learn things about music and still use it sometimes for reference sake. I hope this helps!
