Depends on how you define “playing guitar good”.
If your idea of playing guitar “good” means being able to play a few solos note for note off of tabs, you might be able to do that in a few months of regular daily practice.
If your idea of playing guitar “good” is to be able to play a handful of basic chords and strum along with some simple songs, you might be able to do that in a few months of regular daily practice.
If, OTOH, your idea is to be able to play chords up and down the neck, in all keys, with good steady rhythm, come up with your own rhythm parts, be able to improvise your own guitar solos off the top of your head, be able to read music and tab and play by ear — and be able to play well with other people in a band or jam situation — figure on it taking several years of daily practice.

it depends how much you practice per day, it could be a year, it could be a few years

it depends on what type of music you play.
If you are self taught, then it will take you years to be good while taking lessons could take you months. Everyone progresses in a different pace. Like if you play metal, can you sweep pick or do artificial harmonic out of the air? Or in other genres, can you make a good riff on the top of your mind? Or you can quickly get the feel of a song and master the rhytm. This all takes years to get but you have to remember to not think down since that’s the main reason people give up on instruments.

The amount of time needed to learning to play the guitar depends entirely on the amount of your free time that you are willing to spend with your guitar. I learned to play at 18 after seeing a girlfriend’s 10 year old brother. I said if he can do it, I can do it. He taught me my first couple of songs. That was 32 years ago and I am still learning new stuff every week.
With the advent of the Internet and all the free information, sheet music, tabs, and lyrics you could be playing very quickly. My youngest son was sitting in with bands within six months of picking the guitar up.
On the other hand, my nephew chose to spend hour after hour playing Guitar Hero in lieu of the guitar he received for Christmas. He is now one of the best Guitar Hero shredders in his high school, but that will never get him what he really wants to accomplish.
Take my advice of an old man. Put the video game away and pick up that Axe. Find some tabs to the music you like and spend some time learning how to play them. You will not regret it.
