how can i learn guitar in a fairly short amount of time?
im a bigger guy so my fingers arent exactly the smallest and i try to learn but i just seem to touch more than one string on accident and it messes me all up. is there anyway i can still play? id love to learn and if possible be playing a full song in about 3 months for a gathering im going to. please help me out. if you need to see the song tablature just look up “self-conclusion” by the spill canvas and let me know if its even an accomplishable goal. thank you.

Put on fake nails, not too long but just so you can use your nails to do it, but not to long or girly!

it always depends on the type of song, i learned the titanic song the first day that i tried learning guitar…. and like any instrument, it rellies on both talent and effort… so definately you can learn a full song in 3 months.. but u gatta make the effort.

To start off, Spill Canvas is AWESOME and “Self Conclusion” is a great song.
In regards to your question, the fastest way to learn a song, without taking lessons, is to look up guitar tabs online. Just type in “spill canvas guitar tabs” on a search engine like Yahoo (*cough* promo *cough*). You basically put your fingers where you it tells you to put it. But I think for a song as complicated as “Self Conclusion” it might be a lot more difficult. Start off simple with some punk songs since they only use 3 chords over and over again.
And about your fingers, don’t worry about it. Just keep practicing and rock on!
