Make Scallops with garlic sauce…….yum-yum…………gently wash the scallops the season them with salt/pepper. In a frying pan…heat some olive oil with a little butter on a fairly high heat. Brown scallops on each side about 3-4 minutes each if that long……….make a separate garlic sauce and pour over it.

    Bacon-Wrapped Scallops

24 large sea scallops (about 2 lbs.)
    12 slices partially cooked bacon
    Seasoned pepper

Cook bacon gently until partially cooked but not crisp and still very flexible.
Rinse scallops with running cold water, pat dry with paper towels. Cut each bacon slice crosswise in half; wrap each half around a scallop, securing with a toothpick.
Sprinkle scallops lightly with seasoned pepper.

    Preheat broiler.
Place scallops on rack in broiling pan.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until scallops turn opaque throughout, using tongs to turn scallops frequently so bacon will brown evenly on all sides

Garlic and butter in a skillet cook for 3 minutes or so, make sure to cook both sides. Don’t over cook, it’ll make them tough. Sprinkle a little lemon juice and eat. I’d serve with some rice or noodles.

Since they are much smaller than sea scallops, I would just saute them in brown butter with garlic and parsely, touch of white wine or broth and serve over pasta or rice.

I ALWAYS marinade them in a small bottle of Deluxe French and 1 Tbs of Worcestershire sauce. NO longer than 4 hours tops. I also cook them on the grill.

I do that with shrimp too.
