How to learn guitar?
I’ve been teaching myself guitar, but what’s the best way to go from playing chords to creating rock songs? Also, does anyone have any tips for starting a band as a teenager?
Also…if i was to start a band i’d probably do more rhythmic and do vocals. I don’t know if this is important info or not to u answerers.

learn how to read trebel clef (the music). if you can, take lessons at school or privately. next, learn what makes up a chord (like the names and notes) or learn how to read guitar tabs off of the internet. you should be good to go.

Your not going to like this….but I think before you even think about starting a band you should learn your instrument….you can tell that I teach guitar….I think a person should know his/her instrument well before even thinking about starting a band !!!! You should know your notes and how to read them…and play chords….know about keys….time signatures..etc. There are a lot of places that you could learn on line, although I think a private teacher is best…but today there are so many good sites for learning, I’m going to list some that are free first….and them some that are not….some want you to buy their Cd’s, DVDs, video’s or take their on line lessons, check some of them out and see what you think…anyone who is successful in music knows their instrument well, some are lucky and have perfect pitch….like Slash….and others just have great talent !!!!!!!!! Here are some that are free :

I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A handful of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any tips to help fix this issue?
