i like to cook ham on christmas but ive been thinking if its good to marinate it before cooking. .is it ok?
im going to marinate it on pineapple and brown sugar. i only want it to absorb the flavor but im afraid that it will burn out..im not a professional cook i only want to surprise my family.. thanks!

First off I have won several ham cooking competitions so let me tell you yes you can also If you really want to win them over here is one of the ways i have prepared a ham and won a competition: inject it with butter and pineapple juice over night the very next day inject it with a little cherry juice from a bottle of cherries not alot just hit a few spots on it next I smoked it on the grill heat on one side of the grill ham on the other used mesquite wood i did this for 6 hours rotating it every hour also as you rotate it and baste it the baste is made of : brown sugar, Karo syrup, cherry pie filling crush the cherries in the filling , butter and pineapple juice. if you do this your family will love you forever let me know how it turns out for you and your fam if you try this or if any one tries this.
