Should Paranoid Schizophrenics bother giving up smoking?
I was wondering. If you were a smoker and diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia should you be allowed to just keep smoking. It seems there’s something southing about smoking for schizophrenics as it helps fight against some of the symptoms. Also, why not just keep smoking if you like it al lot? What do you think about this?

if it helps the person out and gives them something to do then yes theys should be allowed to continue so they dont try to do worse things like other drugs or hurt themselves. as long as it helps and they want to do it let them do it

I think when it comes to smoking if you have no dependants then do whatever you want. When I have kids, that’s when I’ll stop.
It’s your life, if it sooths you and calms you down then don’t let anyone bully you into quiting, as long as your not hurting anyone else then I don’t see a problem x

I have paranoid schizophrenia and find that nicotine makes me feel relaxed, smoking is bad for your lungs so nicotine patches and gum are better.
