It’s never too late. Buy a cheap guitar and get lessons, and you’ll be rocking out in no time.

Alternatively, don’t get lessons, but be prepared for it to take longer, and start learning how to read guitar tabs And get a book on how to play. I’ve been playing for 3 years on and off and I’m no superstar, but it’s still good fun (I’m 23).

It is never to late to learn, I am 27 and my husband is teaching me at the moment. If you buy a beginners book on learning guitar that will teach you the best. Or even get lessons.

It is great you are giving the guitar a go, you are never too old to learn something new.

One of my best students EVER was a 65 year old gentleman who wanted to learn how to play his dead wife’s old Gibson… he was retired and had the time to practice and he was a real joy to teach.

It is never too late. If you really love an instrument, then buy it and learn it. I am self taught in music, from reading, writing, composing and studio PLUS, I repair guitars from major companies like Gibson, Fender, Takamine, Ovation etc..

The main thing is to but a decent half – priced guitar like Takamine or Yamaha. They are inexpensive, very nice tone and easy to play.
The rest is up to you . I used to practice 10 hours a day for years on end but, I have mastered my instrument and know the ins and out of it.

If you need help, go on youTube and you can pick up good instructional videos there.
Don’;t be discourage because you will see some awesome guitar works there.
