Where can I volunteer to serve Thanksgiving dinner to area needy in Kitsap County Washington?
My plans have changed for Thanksgiving dinner. I was thinking it would be nice to volunteer at one of those free dinners for the less fortunate people in my area, but I can’t find any place who is hosting a dinner. Does anyone know of plans for a Thanksgiving dinner to be served in the Kitsap Peninsula area of western Washington?

I don’t know of anyplace specifically, but perhaps you could put a call in to your local Salvation Army, or if you have any type of shelters in the area I’m sure they’d appreciate your helping hands!! Churches sometimes are a good resource, too.

I’m not from that area but just wanted to commend you on this. I work at a mission here in Tennessee to serve meals to the less fortunate and get my kids involved. Sadly, due to lack of funding, there will be no Thanksgiving dinner this year. I am heartbroken. Hope you find a place that needs help!

Try the St. Vincent de Paul dining room. Number should be in the phone book, or call your local Roman Catholic church for information.
