Do you think if a person tries to give up smoking but fails, and instead cuts down to three a day, is that O.K

Would you pursue a relationship with that kind of person if you really loved them, or would you view it as a character flaw, or
weak and wimpy, because they did not stop completely? Would cutting down from a pack a day to 3 a day even count, or is it all or nothing?
Thank you for your variety of thoughtful answers.

Except for penfold–Hey, it’s not me, it’s a “friend of mine” who asked me to ask you. Quit jumpin’ to conclusions..and no calling names, Penisfold!!

It is hard to quit & it does take time.
    I generally don’t like smokers, i wouldn’t date one.

After losing a family member from cancer caused by smoking.

I don’t see why you should have to quit at all. People should love you for you, not for your lack of habits.

Smoking is are hard thing to stop, cutting down that much is really hard. Sounds like your not to supportive of her but rather more critical. Lighten up on her and give her some support.

Your post referring to her as “that kind of person”, “weak and wimpy”, don’t persue her, she can do better and you need a priss type girl without the “flaws”, it’s never gonna workout between you two.
